Best game club yet! Ryan & Gus work well together
Disappointed that they didn't play the bonus levels with the secret ending or at least mention it :/
I really wished they had talked more about the soundtrack, one of the best aspects of the game. Still, glad to see this one wound up on Game Club.
I think I will give this game a try, Thanks Game club.
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is a true "walking simulator" but it is just killer. As a game tech nerd, this game is really cool. There is some cool documentation about how they created the incredibly photo-realistic world, actually taking pictures from the developer's surroundings and taking in every detail. It was also one of the first full games to come out in UE4, and really showed off the engine well. Just walking around in an idealized Midwest United States is an absolute joy. Definitely my favorite "walking simulator" out there.
I've tried two games in the past which were recommended by Ryan in passing during episodes of the patch. One being 'The Vanishing of Ethan Carter' and the other being 'To the Moon'. I'd absolutely love to see peoples take on To the Moon but I really enjoyed The Vanishing of Ethan Carter too.
I want to suggest Rimworld and Banished.
Gus, you're talking to Ryan. Do you really think he'd question the motivation for killing in a video game?
game club idea
