Yakuza 7s turn based style was apparently a April fools joke that got received positively so they went with it and with a lot of hours in it I’m absolutely loving it and glad it got nominated in the game awards

Blizzard "missed" the mark in that they got caught being scammers. 🤷‍♂️ Not the first time this has happened and most certainly won't be the last

The bigger focus on story in WoW wouldn't even be so bad if they had good writers and actually made a good story. They retcon and remove characters from relevant story so often that it's just an incohesive mess. I imagine they made that turn because FF XIV has a big focus on story and people like it, but that game actually has a cohesive, well thought-out story, so they can do that. WoW shoulda just focused on being WoW.
