Top Apex / Fortnite Players Rigging Matches

I have some things to add and clarify regarding the cheating situation in Apex. Xynoa and Skittles Cakes cheated but they were not the main culprits in this case. They started teaming in order to combat another group of teamers that had banded together to try and take their ranking positions. Yes, what they did was wrong, however if they were the only ones that received punishment that is very sad and seems like not much research was done on the situation. “Facilitator“ and “Need A SodA” and his crew were the ones that initiated it. Also while these guys are high ranked they are not pro players. Non of them are signed to an org, have won tournament money, or have even competed in a tournament. They are all Xbox players that have predator rankings, which is a group of the top 500 players with the most RP in ranked mode. Giving them the title of pro players while showing clips of actual pro players playing on PC is a bit misleading. I posted a video from Xynoa’s mixer stream on the Reddit post regarding the situation. He’s very “a-holish” and immature about the matter. Doesn’t seem to understand that joining in on the teaming to combat the teaming was wrong. Should have just reported to begin with. He stated he didn’t care if his account got reset as long as his mixer was fine because he’s moving to PC anyway. To finish, it just seemed like it was lacking some of the details. I hope Xynoa and Skittles Cakes were not the only ones punished in this considering they were not the only culprits and not even the ones who started it.

As for Guiness it does not surprise me that they screwed up their Youtubing... they are primarily a brewer and my guess is their tech department runs the Youtube channel on the side with one lower level person (who isn't even a PR guy) doing it all, they may even just outsource it and not have made clear that this clip was borrowed, possibly because they didn't realise what might happen having failed to disclose that they did not on the copyright on this. They have made similar tech blunders in the past and were (as far as I remember from being a kid) one of the last big advertisers (which was a strong suit of theirs) that stuck with TV and newsprint for advertising and avoid anything online at all, of course these days, being a purveyor of alcohol, they are generally an advertisa non-grata these days in Europe, if not elsewhere. Has to be said, their main genius (pun intended) was sticking to what they were good at and hiring companies who were good at what they did in a narrow field to do that good job; one of the few vertically orientated companies these days in the West, big, nasty corporations (particularly USAian ones) tend to be horizontal oligopolies that have spread and eaten everything above and below them to become more vertical but by leveraging their horizontal oligopoly to each littler guys and cooperate with the other few oligopolies to unofficially divide the space between themselves... vertical companies have a harder time becoming oligopolies in the first place (or at least outside of hyperniche markets) and spreading means going into new markets where they may well not be as successful as they were in their first just like any new company breaking into a new market.
