Devastated? The whole world is literally dealing with this. You're devastated you cannot show? Boohoo. GDC continuing and someone getting sick would be devastating. The event being cancelled is the right call.

The 90,000 number is both out of date and sensationalisation... the number that are actaully relevant to almost your entire audience is much, much smaller, especailly since a majority of those "90,000" are no longer infectious... daily worldwide and country by country confirmed infections, deaths and recoveries can be obtained here (see the github data series): https://gisanddata.maps.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html#/bda7594740fd40299423467b48e9ecf6

@goodguy248 Heh, Johns Hopkins University (who I was linking to) setup that github and arcgis representation and are pretty legitimate, peer reviewable, scientifically confirmable source of information regarding COVID19, also obviously including deaths, recoveries and currently suffering cases (the last of which is much more relevant than total confirmed cases given how long this has been going on). I might note that the WHO representation used that same github as a starting point for their code to create their own visualisation (and degrated it in my opinion given the lack of breakdown (where it exists in the data) for regions of large countries, e.g. China, Australia, on the map). So maybe reign in your pride and read the link before you comment, "lol" ;)
