I thought the game was slightly above average, I hesitate to even say it's really good because it doesn't do anything special or new. The story is good but it's not great, combat is fine. The stats and leveling up is lame, and aside from being able to convince people of things there is almost no point to leveling up specific stats. You do get a lot of skill checks, which I like and it offers different ways to complete objectives so that's nice.
I thought the companions where kinda lame accept for Pavati and the robot, though there are points where you can use their skills to complete something, which is neat, but it felt scripted and not inventive. When I started it felt great but by 30% of the way through I started to care less and less about what was going on, by the end of the game I kinda just wanted it to be over. The choices you make are big, but they don't seem to really mean anything unless you piss people off a lot, which you have to work for, then they won't talk to you and stuff, which I didn't care about at all. May be it's different on higher difficulties but I wasn't forced to take any flaws, they where offered to me but you take a major hit to your stats in exchange for a perk point (I played on normal) and I would never ever take them because all of the perks are shit, I got more points than I even wanted just by leveling up and ended up with perks I didn't actually want, but what the hell I had the points.
To be honest, comparing this game to New Vegas is a serious shit on New Vegas, it's a fraction of what that game is, but I don't feel ripped off or anything. I was going to do a second play through where I played as a dumb jerk, it has some dumb person dialogues which are always fun but after a short time I realized that choosing the dumb options and being a jerk just lead me to the same conclusions as being a smart good guy, so I aborted that play through. May be after playing more of it there would be more changes to what was going on but I just don't care anymore.
Now that I've shit all over it, it is a solid game, the mechanics work well and I didn't see many bugs, though I generally don't, and I only had one crash. It is worth 60 bucks I think but if you want that full fallout experience you're not going to get it, and it wouldn't be a bad idea to wait for a sale.
Lastly, the video here worked fine for me, including the audio. I added some breaks so it wan't a wall of text but they where an after thought so don't mind the structure.
TL;DR I give it 6/10 fallouts, functions well but overall not great
