In the real world as a martial artist, stance flipping is to equate equal offence and defence in other words if your opponent is standing one way you want to mirror or stand opposite so you don't show your soft spots basically defence/offence thing making it harder for your opponent to attack whilst easier for you to defend visa versa. but in terms of the mk game might not mean the same game wise.
