Far Cry New Dawn is a Boring Rehash

For future reviews I would say remove the background music, or at least turn it down. It was super distracting the entire time.

I really enjoy most of the far cry games hearing here and other places that its not great kinda kinda makes me upset but I got new dawn for 30$ so I’m not that upset

I appreciate the honest review. It seems that a lot of reviewers feel like they have to review a game in a vacuum and aren't allowed to consider other entries in the franchise when reviewing the most recent title, so I'm happy you pointed out the evolution and general dumbing-down of the Far Cry franchise leading up to this game, since I miss the old spot-surveil-plan-execute style of the older games.

i like this sort of video. quick-ish reviews of games that aren't packed into a podcast format. it's easy for me to digest and i get a quick look into something rather than having to dig for extra content in longer videos. great start to a revamped platform

I'll be honest, don't subject yourself to a ratings system, just say what you liked and disliked about the game, it gave me great insight the way you described it, I'm a Farcry fan from FC2 but also enjoyed FC5. I'll pick this up on sale thanks to this insightful review :D

I could do without that background music on loop

The surprising thing about this game is the fact that there are numbers now when you shoot enemies. I havent played an FC game since 3 so I guess I missed a few things. But damn the game sounds very boring. I had no intention of buying the game but even more so now. Honestly based on the trailers it really seemed like ubisoft was really trying to make the main villains seem bad but in just a dull way. I felt the same about pagan min too though. Also why i didnt buy 4. Plus 4 just seemed like a rehash of 3. Based only on the trailers every villain seems like vaas but with a different edginess just for them.

Love far cry series but lately i have been less reluctant to buy any of their games because i may as well play the previous series since they are more or less the same
