I can relate.
One time at a movie theater, I saw this guy texting non-effing-stop while I'm trying to watch The Grey, a fairly dark movie. Having a tiny bright glow to distract me ruins the experience, so I just got up, snatched his phone, and said "you will get this back when the movie's over." And, of course, he gets flustered, leaves the room and gets the manager, where he threatens to blacklist me if I don't return the poor schmuck's phone.
You do realize that you're the asshole in the situation right..
I think he realised
I suppose so, especially given my mods. But that's what I get when I give two shits about following the rules. If that makes me an asshole, then so be it.
You and that guy were BOTH the asshole here. You don't steal someone else's shit, no matter how rude they're being. Whether you planned on giving it back or not is irrelevant. You either speak to the guy and ask him to put his phone away, or go talk to the manager yourself since most theaters have a rule about turning phones off.
just saying but Gus wasn't wrong, Bewitched is a terrible movie
I know it's a small detail, but I love that they colored Jeremy's hair blue. We can tell the timeline based on that.
You mean the timeline of when this RTAA was made or when that conversation took place? Because he didn't have blue hair then.
Ryan: "And then HIT him with it!"
....and he's a non-combatant in ELR? Riiiiiiight.
And this is why I love Ryan. Ever the voice of reason.
Right up until he isn't.
Why is that smol child all by herself in the movie theater?
parents are out shopping. left smol child in theater by herself
I once called someone out like that at the theater and he started getting really pissed off and as soon as he started to talk back like he owned the place, everyone booed him out of the theater whilst throwing shit at him.
Wish that had happened to me. I was sitting next to a guy once who was clearly already drunk before the movie even started. He kept talking, and rather than have a whole conversation in the middle of the movie about why you shouldn't talk in the middle of a movie, I tried to just say "shh" and hope he'd get the idea. Instead it was basically what happened here with Brandon, but nobody else in the theater did shit.
As a manager at a movie theater, please don't throw things. I have to clean that shit up later. If you need someone to leave, come talk to a member of management so that we can deal with the problem. I can and have called the police to throw out unruly patrons, but 99 times out of 100 just the threat of it makes them leave quietly.
And if my attempts to throw him out cause a disruption that makes you miss part of your movie, you'll get free passes out of it. If you cause a disruption trying to get him to leave, I'll probably throw you out with him.
I didn't throw anything everyone else did
I'm a James Bond fan and I really didn't want any unwanted interruptions so I brought a cell jammer with me to see Casino Royale. Two people kept holding up their phones during the movie and three left and entered during the movie.
isn't that against the law to jam someones phone
As long as one follows FCC laws no its not.
1. Don't use near any federal or state building
2. Don't disrupt public services (police, ambulance, etc.)
3. Do not use for public harassment and/or disturbance
Also cellphones' can operate on a certain frequency but it is reserved for 911 calls only
Ryan always gets 'em with the "hit 'em with it"
I think that's the first RTAA from an Off Topic.
Geoff Hits a Deer was from Off Topic.
This is the best rtaa that has come out recently! I loved it!
