A film is not good because you like it. Likeing a movie has nothing to do with the movie itself, it's about only your tastes. You can like a movie because there is a dog and you love dogs. But the movie is not good just because it has a dog. If the direction, script, cinematography, etc, is crap, it doesn't matter you like dogs or light sabers or comic books or etc. I think he misquoted Tarantino there and was well corrected.
I love this show so much.
