So if it keeps being bad can we see it one day on Theater Mode?
Maybe they should stop trying to make video game movies live action? Most of them shouldn't be made in that way.
Interesting confusing is now going on my dating profile.
The reviews are so brutal! It's kind of glorious.
Fine with me, less people i have to fight with to get a seat in the theater
Well shit. No game, and a bad movie. Thanks AC. (Side note: kind of a rough cut in there.)
you saw that too? then it isnt the sleep deprivation,, good
I'm still looking forward to watching it. I read reviews because I like knowing what others think but it never affects whether or not I go to watch a movie. There have been plenty of times when I've enjoyed a movie that critics have said was horrible.
Welp, that's legitimately disappointing. I was really looking forward to this one since I'm such a fan of the series, but when they're struggling this hard to even find ONE genuinely positive thing to say about this movie, it just isn't worth the inevitable heartache.
You may want to watch it anyway. If the Warcraft movie's reviews vs word of mouth from fans has shown anything, it's that you shouldn't take critics that seriously. Though maybe wait for it to be digital so you can rent it, just in case it does suck.
@DarkTempler7, perhaps, but fans, especially super fans, tend to be much more forgiving than even other people would be who are less fanatical about the series. Take the Star Wars prequels for example. Plus, if the reviews were more mixed, I'd be less inclined to take critics seriously since there would undoubtedly be an element of subjectivity behind the bad (and good) reviews, but the negativity for this movie almost seems universal.
That is a good point. I just meant that critics have a very Hollywood mentality to movies, and so there's only so far that you can trust their opinions on a movies quality. Like I said, maybe wait for it to be rentable.
That sucks :(. When will we have a good videogame movie? Is it to much to ask for a good videogame movie?
I think with the way Hollywood currently makes movies, it is. I think a good video game movie can be made, but everyone wants to make them in a way that doesn't work. Then again I think a few series would be better served being an animated series like Game of Thrones since it allows them more time to properly tell the story.
I do want to say this... The Tomb Raider movies were good movies, they are not good video game movies, remove the tittle and replace it with something ells I think it would've done better.
"Horse on a roof" needs to become a phrase like "Jumped the Shark." Maybe when a movie looks like it has all the potential and in the end falls flat on its face. "Well they sure put a horse on that roof."
Shout out to University of Nebraska: Lincoln! :D
Sorry but the Ratchet and Clank movie, Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker, and both animated Halo movies are so much better than Mortal Kombat. I'm not saying they're good.
People who talk about movies for some reason have the idea that if it's animated it's not on the same level as live action. That's why we get train wrecks like Avatar the Last Air Bender and Dragon Ball Evolution when there was no reason to make them live action. Granted, I also think Warcraft wasn't nearly as bad as people say in spite of it being live action when it shouldn't have been.
@DarkTempler7 If Warcraft was animated, it would just look like a remastered cutscene though.
The worst anime to movie adaptation has to be Erased. It didn't have to be anime, but it was, and they went back on this dramatic, realistic anime and made a campy movie that throws out all character development and makes up a nonsensical ending.
Would that be worse the all the CG they had to use for the Orcs and magic effects though?
