All hail Gilby.. listen to his infinite wisdom
They should've had Boba Fett survive the sarlacc pit, start tracking down the heroes, and then shown up on Endor for the big climax. By the end of RotJ, Darth Vader and the Emperor pretty much shifted in to just being Luke's antagonists. Boba Fett could've been Han and Leia's antagonist that they have a big Boss Fight with during the finale.
Back to the Future originally filmed a quarter of the movie with Eric Stoltz instead of Michael J Fox. I think Star Wars will end up fine
I thought the trailer looked great. I'm cool with the darker tone it had, plus it kind of makes sense. It takes place before "a new hope' and the rebellion isn't doing too great against the empire, it should kind of feel dark and hopeless.
And yes ashley, you are correct, Bobba Fett is essentially worthless as a character. Despite how cool he could have been, his total accomplishments consist of:
He didn't even catch han solo or the others. Calrissian literally says darth vader and his storm troopers got to cloud city just before the millennium falcon, so darth vader does all the work. It was pointless even having Bobba Fett there.
Bobba Fett did so little because Lucas didn't know he'd be so popular. That's also why he had such a lame death.
Hey hey hey let's be fair. Boba Fett ran away into his dad's ship and shot at Obi-Wan, and held a helmet, and answered a door.
Agreed on the I Am Legend ending, that was awful. I thought the original was more thought provoking, which may be why test audiences hated it. No opinion on Scott Pilgrim, never got around to watching it.
Frankly, I'm expecting borderline dark, a feeling of little to no hope for the side of the Rebels with dashes of possible success being glimpsed, followed by the triumph of delivering the Death Star Plans to the Tantive IV (Leia's ship in A New Hope) just before most, if not all, get killed. This movie cannot be as lighthearted as the others as that would take away from the seriousness and danger of what is essentially a spy movie.
If Disney can make the movies better then why not reshoot? Though if they're worried that the tone will be a problem that's understandable, but I think it'd do fine.
Well the whole point of the film was to make a WWII-style war film. Putting the wars back in Star Wars.
Tons of really popular movies went into reshoots. It's not really to be expected, but it happens, and it doesn't mean it's going into the toilet just yet.
I think the reshoots are going to be okay. They're common (though not always this long) and usually end in a better overall product. I am excited for Rebel One and I like hearing that they're making the movie the best it can be.
Also, I have the Scott Pilgrim dvd and I liked the official ending!!!! Maybe I'm in the minority then
The irony of commenting on clickbait titles.
My brother-in-law's wife's father allied himself with the Dark Lord of the Sith and makes $1138 an hour working from his space cruiser.
I was excited about a Star Wars movie that had a darker tone, but I will wait and see how this turns out.
You have to admit we've all been wondering about this story for 39 years.
Yeah, Ashley, let's not use the term prequel when talking about Rogue One. It looks good and doesn't deserve the classification of "Star Wars prequel."
But it is a prequel so...
