I sat and watched the live stream for HOURS waiting for that trailer.... and then we didn't get to see it. I was PISSED. Buuuuuttt Thrawn being in the already amazing Rebels tv show kinda calmed me down haha.
from those movies its going to be them captured tortured and forced to build something and cross vast distance on foot
GRAND ADMIRAL THRAWN! Nothing else matters!
Add Mara Jade back in and everything perfect.
And suddenly Star Wars Rebels has just become required watching, especially with Timothy Zahn joining the series to assist with bringing Thrawn to life.
Okay.. I watched Rebels from the beginning cause I had the feeling that it'll be shit in the beginning and good at the end (same with the TCW) and now my predictions are coming true! I just hope that they'll really stick to how Thrawn was.
Considering his reveal was saying you have to know your enemy by their art, yes. Dave Filoni's been a huge Star Wars EU fan all his life and has wanted to bring in Thrawn since before he was non-canon, not to mention all the obvious KOTOR and Republic Commando references.
Episode VIII inspired by Bridge on the River Kwai?
Rey is Obi-Wan's granddaughter confirmed.
Ima go full on nerd and tell you that "Rey" was not a character in the comics. There WAS Jenna. Jenna Skywalker. She was a Solo. Her brother, Caedus, became a Sith. Is it possible that Dinsney simply changed her name to Rey?
I hope so, because Boba Fett eventually trains Jenna (Rey) to kill her brother from his expirence from hunting Jedi. Which would be awesome, for me, simply because he'd have more than five lines in that movie. HYPE
@MC_Camaro77 Actually her name was Jaina, and she first appeared in the third book of the Thrawn trilogy, not comics, and her brother was named Jacen before the Dark jedi Lumiya gave him the name Darth Caedus. Don't lecture me. And you're not picking up on my obviously sarcastic joke.
Disney's done far more to invalidate Jaina being anything like Rey. For one, Rey remembers her parents but doesn't know Han and Leia. Han and Leia don't know her. Second, JJA says her accent is important. Neither Han nor Leia have a british accent. Third, it's not going to be something so obvious. Besides, if Disney wanted to go with the old canon, they wouldn't have made Thrawn non-canon in the first place and would've had Chewie die, not Han.
@DavidtheWavid And I thought I was a nerd...
Thank you. I'm honored by your compliment.
