I know they explained it, but how could they be able to estimate how much money they'll make?
Ticket pre-shares mixed with a factoring based on impressions of how favorable or disfavorable opinion of the movie appears to be.
Yeah, they've been really pushing pre-sales on tickets. I saw a few ads about pre-ordering tickets for Suicide Squad.
Suicide Squad is PG 13 and Deadpool is a Hard R because of this Suicide Squad will have bigger viewing audience. Still doesn't mean it will have a better opening week. I just hope Suicide Squad isn't another Batman VS Superman. Not a fan of DC but really stoked for Suicide Squad looking forward to it doing really well.
Deadpool was rated R suicide squad is rated PG-13, no exactly a fair comparison. GotG isn't a terrible movie to compete against though.
Will Smith actually does more of pushing me away than pulling me in for this movie.
Will it be bigger? Sure. I don't doubt that it could be bigger since the hype train for comic book movies is higher than it ever has been before. Will it be better? Probably not. But it will still be worth a watch, whether or not it gets praise or notoriety. It's different and they're venturing out of the cliche hero side of the comic book stories so it's worth watching to talk about what went right and what went wrong and where it could improve.
Why is no one addressing Adam's tongue piercing??? I can't understand half the shit he says. As for Suicide Squad, it's going to be a hit. I think that all the re-shoots were because Deadpool got away with murder for a comic book movie, and DC is going to push the envelope as well. There are still going to fuck up the cannon, but I'm just a douche bag when it comes to staying true to the source material. With all that said, I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT!
When was the last time Will Smith starred in a legit monster hit? I just don't think he's the draw he's portrayed to be. If anything his presence in the movie seems to be a turnoff to a lot of people I've seen talking about Suicide Squad. They're worried it'll be a "Will Smith movie" more than the ensemble movie it's supposed to be.
Whatever the case is I personally hope it's really good. DC movies other than the Nolan Batman films have not been my cup of tea for a long time and if I'm honest Dark Knight is the only one of those I really loved.
Fingers crossed for some awesomeness
