I love the idea of some video games going into the television industry. However, I'm not sure what Battlefield TV will bring. As mentioned, with no central story in any game, I'm not even sure how they can relate it to the video game at all. I think a quality Assassins Creed TV show (maybe we'll get one after the movie) or Fallout show would be a great market piece for TV networks.
i honestly havent enjoyed a fps story more than battlefield 3's story line i became very invested in the characters. maybe modern warfare 1 and 2 are better but still
quietly whispering halo movie over and over.
We need something like Halo 2 Anniversary. Forward Unto Dawn and Nightfall have proven we shouldn't do a live-action Halo movie, but I don't want to see something else happen the way Fall of Reach did.
It would be better if they went full animated on Halo. It annoys me when everything has to be live action. Why does everyone think live action is somehow more legitimate then animated?
save your time and just watch battlefield friends.
Unless they are making "Bad Company" and "Bad Company 2" into a series....I dont know how the show will hold up.
Like they said, Battlefield is so broad and what defines it as a game is just plain old warfare. How do you make this a real show faithful to the brand without it just being a generic war show? They said the Bad Company show sounds badass and they would watch it, not realizing it's basically just RvB 9 and 10.
And as a "wildly rabid fan" of Mirror's Edge, I don't think it sounds like a good idea. The entire city would have to be CGI to the point that it would be Spy Kids-level live-action-protagonist-constantly-on-bluescreen. In addition, I doubt they could find a lead actor that looks like Faith enough, can act, and is also basically the best gymnast in the world. Unless it's completely CGI, it sounds like a bad idea to me.
So basically they're making a TV show that will glitch out, with unpredictable behavior when the actors do simple things like climb a ladder? Tanks that can get launched and then bounce? That sort of thing?
Sound hilarious! I'm sold!
