Halloween (2018) hits theaters this week. Is it frightfully scary or just frightfully bad? We saw an early screening, and we're ready to share our thoughts with you, but not our candy.
The images in the Test Bars are really clever. Funny stuff! (And ACTUALLY,.. Jon,.. I do believe the saying from John Wick was something like " ... He's the one you send to kill the Bogeyman!")
Why would you have Risinger as the objective view? I like the guy and I understand the idea of having a pro and con arguement to review the movie but why not have someone that grew up watching horror movies and doesn't like the movie instead of someone who only recently got into the genre?

I'm with Jon on this. I watched the original Halloween directly followed by the new one, both at the cinema last night. The old one bored the pants off of me, but the new one was reasonably entertaining for someone that's not a die hard of the franchise. - Though completely understand it's cultural significance and that it'd be different if it had been a movie I'd grown up with instead of watching for the first time at 28, 40 years after release.
From a non educated old horror movie enthusiast who hasn't yet watched the new movie, I dont disagree that compared to new era movies which are usually faster paced shock horror films the original Halloween may seem more boring but back in that day John Carpenter made a master piece from a low budget no name cast with fresh ideas for the genre, also what an amazing single shot opening scene he created.
