Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters this week, and expectations for the movie's performance have dropped dramatically. It's expected to be the lowest opening for any recent Star Wars film.
They talked about how Disney wants to do new material with StarWars, but all these "stand-alone" movies seem way too dependent on the main movies to justify that idea. If they want to do something new, they gotta go all in.
The biggest point of contention for me was the blanket statement from Lucasfilm that, anyone who did not like the movie was a racist, intolerant, bigot. Never mind the murder of the OG cast, they're coming for chewbaca and the droid duo next, just you wait. but at least there will be more time to drink green milk.
@DakotaNightwing yes i agree. it was an excellent movie. Had very low expectations because of the stupid movie trailers and bad opinions of the movie. It is worthwhile to watch
I didn't even know this movie was coming out until a few weeks ago... (I knew it was coming this year, but I didn't know when this year, I thought more towards the end of the year)
I'm pretty sure The Solo Movie's poor performance is due to fan backlash due to toxic sjw culture and sexuality interfering with this movie and the last star wars film. it's the reason I didn't watch it. there are boycotts out on it
