texas being big isnt a good excuse for me for no trains over here (obviosuly on multiple trains and it takes a long time) but you can take a train from london all the way to bejing (wars not withstanding)

@mewtwozero It's not just that Texas is big, it's also sparsely populated across a lot of it. Texas is roughly 2.5x the size of the UK, and it has less than half its total population. You can see by this population density map (below) that a train system could only service a small portion of the population unless you ramp up the costs dramatically to service low population centers; https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Shyam-Sheladia/publication/349227052/figure/fig1/AS:99019554136… And there are issues beyond that. Public transport in the US is a complex issue that requires a complex solution. Unfortunately, the government is not in the mood for complex discussions.

When the SNES came out in Australia, I was maybe 15 or so, I wasn't lucky enough to own one yet, but I watched a buddy of mine play through most of the Zelda game, watched him fail to beat the final boss numerous times, then after he passed out one night, I booted up his game and beat the final boss, and watched the ending etc, I didn't save, I kept his save file intact for him to beat his own game. But still, when he woke up and learned that I'd completed the game before him....he was so pissed off

Speaking of Alcohol: Never really did like getting drunk drunk... im the sweetest, kindest guy normally but when drunk i get mean, and the amount of drink i have to ingest to get a buzz (because im a fairly big guy) makes me not wanting to drink.. i might once or twice a month drink a beer for the taste or mixers for times like the new year. Also what it boils down to is I dont like the loss of control.
