I can also highly recommend Lagaan on Netflix, same time period as the movie Gus is recommending, where the village rises up to a challenge from their British occupiers to a game of Cricket, where the stakes of the outcome of the game are whether the village will be able to skip paying taxes for a year, or will have to pay 3x the taxes. Also recommend Jodha Akbar, simply a beautiful movie.

Idk if it's more of a views thing rather than a necessity that became the norm. Fish for the most part shouldn't be fishy. I believe it's the blood that makes it fishy and the freshness. I feel very fortunate to have grown up in Hawaii around such good seafood

12:33 I think Jessica means one ep in particular of Kenobi got a special warning at the beginning bc it ended up with a scene eerily similar to Uvalde victims’ stories. If a warning like this happened in Stranger Things I wasn’t aware but I watched season 4 and I didn’t notice anything like that

@Delivery_McGee Yeah, that's true lol. My thought was that throughout most of human history people lived in caves or tents, neither which really had a reason to have a "door," even though they have entrances. Just my thoughts tho 🤷

@Steepled humans were nomadic hunter gatherers for a long time before developing agriculture which lead to the first civilizations. it would make sense to invent a wheel that makes carrying your stuff easier when you're a nomad, and to invent a way to seal your shelter when you live in a settlement.

About the need for Subtitles. I have a feeling people are having a harder time listening and understanding because of TikTok style videos. Subtitles in your face and even audio closed captions.
