Manslaughter, not murder. Manslaughter is causing the death of another through your own negligence. Setting up a tree to fall in the future would be negligence on your part, hence: Manslaughter.

@Wolfencreek indeed, intent is the critical factor. if you intend to have the tree fall and it happens to fall onto someone you could be seen as having set up a booby trap, which is generally illegal even on one's own property
