I spent the entirety of RTX 2016 with sunburn and blistered feet because I walked all the way from the Marriott in downtown riiiiiiight down S Congress to Walmart. ProTip: Do not do the thing Alex did. Don't spend the best part of 2 hours walking around in the July heat in Austin without sun cream and loose shoes.

That being said, the experience of being in a place where everyone felt like a friend and I felt completely comfortable and relaxed, around other community members and the general public of Austin, wasn't marred in the slightest by my mild physical discomfort. Just remember to pack some bloody strong sun cream.

blancpage - That's an interesting point a Pizza Margherita with Mozzarella is what they had not a Margherita Cheese Pizza they seem to be different!

Probably. Also, given that I'm in a country that deep fries pizza both with and without batter, not going to take anyone to task over their pizza-fu.

Just had a bit of a record-scratch moment listening to the live podcast #440 where the panel appeared to describe fresh mozzarella with an air of disgust. As a result I'm taking all their food recommendations with a fair amount of salt.

Ooh! I know this one. Excluding foods that contain alcohol, you can still get drunk if you ingest sugars and yeasts and for some reason your digestion is interrupted enough to allow the yeast to survive. The yeasts will feed on the sugars and excrete CO2 and alcohol. With the right conditions and enough raw materials you could get a little giddy.

The downside is then you've got to worry what went wrong enough for your digestive process to not eliminate the living yeast or pass it out of your system in the time it takes for it to create enough alcohol for you to feel its effects.
