I see Youjo Senki, I am happy. Also, it's WW1 not WW2, I don't understand how people keep having trouble understanding such a basic concept. The fact she was born in 1913 and war wages onto 1924, 15 years before WW2 even begins, Trench Warfare and the fact that as Tanya said "These people are still stuck in last century paradigm". Can't have WW2 when WW1 is STILL HAPPENING!!!
Wonder what the Anime Club will be, I'm excited to have an excuse to check out some older stuff

I don't know what it is, but this anime season feels lacking.
Maybe its because this season doesn't have many big over the top action anime since those are getting released next season or onward. Its mostly comedy/slice of life anime, but I will say Its a great season for comedy/S.O.L. Interviews with monster girls, Kobayashis dragon maid, and Gabriel dropout are all really good so far
I can't say i agree with you, for me this season is plentiful. Interview with monster girls and Gabriel dropout are both cute fun shows, Scum's wish is a brutal heavy drama about really terrible people, the second season of Konosuba is still fun and hilarious, Youjo Senki has such a interesting plot with its villainous protagonist and fight scenes are great, and if i had been watching it (wink) i hear that Little Witch Academia is wonderful.

Heads up,I don't think Tanya is WW2. I think it's WW1 because of all the trench warfare. Not 100% sure because I'm only in the first episode, but that's what it looks like.
Also, just looked at the description on Crunchyroll and it says 1923

I'm sure at some point in episode 1 of Saga of Tanya the Evil they say 1924(?). That means it's neither WW1 nor WW2. It's WW1.5.
I literally watched the first episode of both anime of anime book club out of pure coincidence before FanService came out. I looked at all the anime I had to watch decided on Tanya and then had to choose between Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid and Demi-chan wa Kataritai and I chose Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid. xD
Tanya had me hooked when I heard Aoi Yuki voicing Tanya. Then I found out Myth and Roid were doing the opening and I was like hell yes!
It's really weird about that spinning part in the intro of MKDM. I was like "Man I wanna know who all these characters are. I can't wait to meet them."
Totally knew Happy would be one of the answers. I also chose Happy on the Reddit post.
Even if it is year 1924 in Tanya's world, it's still WW1 in there as they talk of if as the first wold war, something that has never happened before.
