I kind of wish I could download the thumbnails for this show as wallpapers, they're all so cool

Trying to dodge Xenoblade Chronicles 2 spoilers and now it's in the anime podcast?! Agh. Looks like this one is going on the backlog till I get to play Xeno2.
they dont seem to go very spoiler heavy with their xenoblade discussion, so you're probably good to watch it anyway
Will try to avoid, but potential Xenoblade 2 spoilers ahead:
Overall I liked Xenoblade 2. But compared to 1 or X it made a lot of changes I consider to be trade offs. Some worked, some not as much.
The anime style mixed well with the over the top story it was telling that couldn't have been done as well if it was a custom silent protagonist in there. (Which is kinda sad since I loved that about X)
But as a result I felt less attached to the MC as he wasn't a character I developed and had an affinity for (after hours spent creating them). On top of which he had some moments were I really liked him, but overall had me annoyed at how inept he was for far too long.
(PS: there's a right way to make a game where you are constantly an underdog being put into no-win battles, and this wasn't it. See 'The Legend of Heroes: Trials of Cold Steel' for the right way.)
The blades coming from many artists was enjoyable as it really let me flesh out my time with cool ones I preferred from a large array of styles, but the chance nature of getting them was too slim.
Only had about 25% of them after finishing it at 120 hours.
This is actually a little sad as I spent as long on X just finishing the story, but clocked 220 hours after end game play which I feel is missing here.
The biggest miss is the lack of giant robots (no seriously)
In X, going from a tiny person with a huge world to explore towering over you, to a robot where it all starts to feel smaller and less intimidating and finally flight where it becomes your backyard. Just great progression and an awesome feeling at each change that I can't really put into words.
At the end of the day, I did spend 120 hours on it and don't regret it. Sooooo... yup/10.
(X is still the best.)
Back to anime, Angel Beats is amazing, but Clannad will rip your heart out. But with both, stick with it through the hard stuff as the pay off is worth it in each show.
Assassination Classroom is a must watch and read with the manga. It's the type of show that's hard to describe to others with how weird it is, but will have you hooked after 1 episode/chapter.
I'm so sad are you guys not doing jojo telephone anymore?
I want Yssa’s Night In The Woods hat
Angel Beats is so goood. It went under the radar, so i try to share it with everyone i can. I'm so happy it came up... Love you Yssa
watched two episodes of the live action erased then gave up and watched the anime again.
Answer to the community service question: The original FMA series.
OMG, my poor teenage (when I watched it that damned episode) heart.
enjoyed the Xenoblade 2 talk.
Quality of Rokka as an anime aside, it really does make for a fun discussion week to week. Great pick. Looking forward to watching and hearing about the last couple episodes.
Yeah... Anohana really fucked me up. I can listen to the OP song with no problems, but if it's the actual opening with the visuals and all, I get all depressed. Don't think I can ever rewatch that, which is a shame because I didn't really know any Japanese when I first saw it and I really like rewatching stuff without subs/dubs...
oh god i googled shibari images and... i liked it
