Need. More. JoJo. I see it in the animedump thing and it ends up just being a simple reference half way in. WE NEED A JOJO ANIME CLUB SECTION. Miles would literally go insane at how crazy it gets. Or just have one person try to explain some stands.
I'm still waiting when papu lawerence comes in with ecchi and hentai topics
FanService: On Campus!!
A one-off OVA where the FunHaus boys and girl and Benson get deep into 80s anime.
You know what I find to me more annoying than the constant fanserivce in anime? American fans of anime complaining about it all the time. It's not going to change until otaku culture changes in Japan.
There's good fan service and bad fan service. I'd criticize the bad fan service if that meant weeding it out. And instead of waiting for culture to change by sitting and doing nothing, maybe being proactive and having your criticism heard will make a dent in things. And bad fan service will (of course) continue but just because it's inevitable doesn't mean you don't deserve to raise issue with it when it happens. Try to have it happen less instead of not at all and focus on what makes good fan service good and make *that* the norm so that when it does happen it's enjoyable instead of cringey.
And that is when I knew Miles should have used that little anime clip relating to Toukiden 2 of a giant beast, awesome weapons, and an epic little robot with a sniper rifle blowing the hand off of a giant tiger like creature by pointing strait up without looking.
Between Austin's presentation last week and Yssa's Lesson this week, I'm learning a surprising amount of film making techniques from Fanservice. That should be RT's new slogan: Rooster Teeth; Surprisingly Educational.
Miles, please. That's a Rickenbacker 4001 bass in FLCL, not a guitar. Lemmy used it, bro. So did Scott Pilgrim. #BassesMatter. That said, Fan Service is the highlight of my Saturday mornings when there's no RWBY
Oh god yes, shot composition breakdown. Me gusto.
One sentence descriptions of the Jojo parts (anime only):
1. In England in the 1880s, a rich kid's evil adopted step brother turns into a vampire and ruins everything with a stone mask before being defeated (or is he?) with the power of the sun via magic breathing techniques.
2. Rich kid's grandson lives in America in the 30s, before befriending an Italian prettyboy and a Nazi in order to defeat the ancient Ubermench (named after 80s bands) who created the stone masks, using the power of the sun via magic breathing techniques.
3. In 1986, the evil stepbrother vampire revives and part two guy, now old, teams up with his half Japanese grandson and some others to go to Egypt and kick vampire's ass with the Soul Power Demon Things (named after Tarot cards) they all have now.
4. Part two guy's illegitimate son (uncle of part three's half Japanese grandson) and others have the soul powers (now named after various songs), work together to eliminate a hand obsessed serial killer with soul powers named after a Queen Song.
Yssa is amazing!
Nice, now I finally have an excuse to get Hulu!
Time #1 is "Get Out"
Time #2 is "Can we talk?"
Time #3 is "Here are the police"
Time #4 is "Congratulations, Mr. President"
