In todays trade, im dumb.
I didn't know I needed something so bad until Austin said anime Trainspotting
I prefer the "Gore light" It leaves more open for the imagination.
If they show you the gore they just do it for the chock, it takes away the human emotions you're supposed to feel. You're focused on "Ah that looks ugly".
When it happens just off camera, you focus more on the human reactions and the feelings.
Too much gore is distracting, and some anime are only driven by gore. Gore makes me detach from from the characters.
Yssa making noises during the gore clips was really distracting.
Grey. Your answer is : Yes
Fairy Tail was like the 2nd manga I started when i first got into anime/manga with Rave Master being the 3rd. <3 Hiro Mashima
I'm a little disappointed that they didn't use the clip of the little girl stabbing herself in the head for When They Cry.
imagine george rr martin getting to talk to his characters
scratch that imagine Kentarou Miura getting to talk to his characters from Berserk
This episode seemed a bit subdued. Still fun tho!
Gore? I like you, Tanya. those clips were meh to me, and now that I've seen Higurashi, I like to watch more. I mean I've seen some shit. figuratively and literally when i comes to that, and don't get me started on guro because Holy FUCK! But I dunno which affects me more. the offscreen gore or the onscreen. I will say seeing Mami die was actually heartbreaking to me. it wasn't her death, but because I've gotten attached to Mami and then Episode 3 of Madoka Magica happened and was sad that I wanted to kill Kyubey. Plus see enough anime gore you get desensitize to it. Weird.
