In regards to Notebooking it: My Great grandparents were together since they were 14, Grandma waited through WW2 for him to return. They remained together until Grandma went to the hospital with serious illness. Hospital told us she wouldn't make it through the night. That night, our great grandfather sat in his favorite chair, and went to sleep, to never wake at again at 86. I think there's a certain age where you're living based on mostly will, and when you lose the person you loved for 72 years, you just want to be with them in the end as well. So you just go to sleep.
