@blinkybe There are a lot of reasons Epic is the bad guy here. First, it’s like going back to the PS2 or the original XBox with the amount of features that are missing. If you’d been playing on the XBox One for years and you got used to the features of it, just an example: achievements, and now you don’t have those you’re gonna be pissed. Second, Epic says they’re doing this because Steam is a monopoly (spoiler alert, they aren’t) but Epic is “fighting” monopolies by becoming a monopoly? Exclusivity is just flat out stupid, paid exclusivity is even worse. Third, the store aspect of Epic is flat garbage, it doesn’t have a shopping cart function so you can’t buy more than one thing at a time, and if you try to buy a few things in quick succession, your account can be blocked for “fraud” If Epic really wanted to fight monopolies, they should work to make their launcher competitive to Steam, if they managed to do that, the game devs would come to them and the players would follow, but snatching up games for exclusive deals is just scummy and anti-consumer.
