Really dont wanna sound like a hater, the animation for gen:lock looks so choppy looking it hurts my eyes to look at it, its like the team that ruined rwby are trying to look like big kids now but im not buyin it, looks generic as fuck
@LordZell First I’m just going to say that I find it funny that you say that you don’t want to sound like a hater, and then go on and say “the team that ruined rwby”, but that’s besides the point though. Mainly the choppiness seems to be an animation choice during non combat scenes. This can be done for a myriad of reason one could be to lessen the load on the small dev team (they are still small in comparison to other companies). Another reason (and probably more likely) is that it’s a design choice similar to the Netflix show Dragon Prince where by using a lower frame rate one can give a more aesthetic/cartoony appearance.
My main guess for this is that they want the combat and mech play to be noticeably different so a simple and effective way would be to have the non combat scenes be in a lower frame rate to give more power to those mech scenes. That being said this could just be a way to lessen the load on the devs since they are a smaller company (relatively speaking), and if Dragon Prince has anything to show this won’t be a problem since the mind will kind of autocorrect it as long as they work with the frame rate, and not against it.
they're half way through the licensing agreement and have made two games with only one other game announced. we would be drowning in them right now if a publisher that could do more than release the same 6 games every year. I don't even care about star wars and I'm pissed.
2014 Game Devs: You found access to a room that you should not be able to go to, thanks for bringing this to our attention and we will work on a fix for this to prevent any future access.
2019 Game Devs: you found a way to get into a room you should not be able too because we released a game filled with bugs. It's your fault, you are a cheater and we are going to ban you.
