The feud between Valve and Epic continues over Metro Exodus, Nintendo exec Damon Baker has jumped from the big N to the big X, Gamestop couldn't find a buyer for their company so they'll probably have to settle for trade-in credit, and more!
I’m not surprised that GameStop is tanking. The way they market the deals is kind of cheap. Then their trading system is STILL infamous of ripping you off
OMG nobody wants to buy a company built around scamming gamers on their buy backs, and with famously rude employees go figure. Game stop is the Blockbuster of the gaming world, i hope it dies out into nothingness.
GaneStop needs to go the Domino's route and let people buy individual stores amd run it under the GameStop banner.
Give the owners guidelines of BASIC stuff and then let the owner make the decisions of how the store runs.
For the record, as someone who works at Gamestop, we are a completely profitable company. Gamestop has absolutely no debt, and strictly makes money because we sell used games and systems. People freak out about stuff like this happening, but all it meant was that Gamestop couldn’t find anyone willing to buy for the right price who would also continue to let the store operate on its own terms. And for the record about trades, while it is pretty crappy for new games, our trade values depend on how many copies of the game Gamestop has. That’s why your copy of nba 2k18 only goes for $1. EVERYONE traded it in for 2k19, so my store alone is sitting on about 30 copies that aren’t selling. People seem confused about how that works, so there you go.
