Nintendo didn't abandon Super Mario Party... They barely made it to begin with. NDcube the same Nintendo owned subsidiary that has developed the last 5 Mario Party games mase it. Did you really expect the people that made those hated games to support something they made??
Super Mario Party is a huge disappointment, especially when they added Super to the title you'd think it meant it was a jump forward. Every time I have people over they want to play Mario Party, but it's boring every time now. I understand a lack of maps initially because they added a lot of side content, but that side content kinda sucks and the maps themselves are too small and basic. Exclusive dice was a good addition, but also having dice only roll 1-6 and adding dice that can roll zeroes, turns not only take long but some turns go by with no real changes. DLC Maps would've been a huge game changer.
The next Mario Party isn’t going to sell well based on internet complaints?
I’m as disappointed as anyone else regarding the lack of content for SMP but come on, when has internet complaints ever translated to meaningful sales numbers?
also Mario Party requires you to play with a single joy con so you either need to have a friend bring controllers or shell out another $80 to play with 4 people
