If they already ripped off one kickstarter and took the game to another platform, why still give them money, even though it shenmue III? Is there no legal recourse for the people who kickstarted the valve version and were then notified that they would receive nothing?
@Abeltodothings True, but it is a little annoying how PC is becoming like console with Windows store, EA Origin, and now Epic games. At least with Steam (except sometimes) everything is shared there. Also Its hard to play with friends when you keep changing where you buy games. Becuase then they have to buy it there too.
@Abeltodothings I agree. I've been using a pc for almost 10 years and I couldn't care less which store the games I want are on. plus, some of my favorite games are coming to the epic store like the quantic dream games.
@Abeltodothings the only good reason to not like Epic Games is in some countries their unit of money isn't available yet on Epic Games Store so they have to be charged extra for a game on that store as opposed to Steam. With that said Joe Shmo from upstate New York should just shut up and pay the money like we all know he will. It's so annoying to prefer PC and see these brats complain because it doesn't have a review system. that's the only part of steam anyone uses, discord and forums cover all the rest
@fuzzyp329 yeah man I don't get it either, why can't they upload on same day of YouTube? It's their own site and I'm not asking for anything before YouTube
I feel worse after your need rage cause yeah it’s different from the marvel cinematic universe but the voice like Travis willingham on Thor he’s been voicing Thor for a long time longer that the mcu has existed and some of their designs are pretty accurate to comic representations of them so I agree there are faults but this so called rage seems like people and you upset that they aren’t making a marvel cinematic universe game but just a marvel game.
Epic games store, just like steam is a FREE download....so what exactly is the problem? ultimately it is a just a free game platform to run a game through.
eic
@RoryMac8101 Despite the Epic game store being a bad platform, it’s mostly about people wanting to play Shenmue on Steam and the developers not giving back refunds for people who were led to believe that they would be able to, and now it’s only on the Epic store.
Shenmue is still coming out on Steam, just a year later than on Epic. Technically that does justify having the Steam keys and the Steam logo on the marketing materials. 🤷
Plus it sounds like the devs are using Epic's Unreal Engine and have been receiving a lot of support (im assuming this means 💰) from Epic as well, so I really can't blame them for paying Epic back with 1 year of exclusivity. 🤷
@Liquidus_Snake0 Hell they just toss around the word exclusive when it's clearly not. Unless it never comes to another platform it's not exclusive. So it's misleading.
@Luxnoria @Luxnoria Do you hear yourself, what about any of this is just drama? Yes, it is very much exclusive, the directors of the game said so. And if you’re going to say it’s only a year exclusive, the Directors say it MAY be a year long exclusive. Not that it will, they have every intention of keeping it on the Epic launcher until they start to feel the hurt. And from recent headlines it looks like they are.
My reaction to Metro Exodus being exclusive to Epic Games store? I shrugged. Opened Epic and downloaded the game. Sure I didn't get achievements/trophies but so what. I could still play the game.
