Pokemon Sword & Shield's 1,000 Developers Still Can't Fill the Pokedex

I think this will provide some clarification. Essentially Game play wise there are still 8 Gyms like normal. It's just lore wise there are 18 Gyms but that are supposedly competing to be one of those 8 Gyms, but you won't see the other 10 Gyms in the actual game. From the explanation, it sounds more like "In Sword, the Fighting Gym is in Major League and in Shield, the Fighting Gym is in Minor League" with it being the other way around in Shield. That's at least the impression I got from the explanation. Thank you for the update!

I get that these titles are just a way to get people to watch the video but like... it's just inviting people to just comment on the video correcting the title without even watching the video. Like, yeah the title is immediately "but actually"-ed within the first minute, but that just makes the title even worse cause now it's just straight up a lie. If it were like "POKEMON'S 1000 DEVELOPERS CAN'T FILL POKEDEX??!!11!???!!?///??," it would at least sound like it was intentionally misleading. Still very bad, and I actually hate that as a title format, but people at least know that whenever a LOUD title ends with a question mark, the answer is "no." Other than that, it was a very informative video. I love Kdin in stuff! But I would have had a better impression coming into it with a better title

I play pokemon games for fun and I try to get as many as I can but catching them all seems monumental with the new pokemon but I will always enjoy exploring the new regions and new pokes!

Wait...does the quote not imply, when it states that the difference between versions is which gyms will be in the major league and which will be in the minor league, that all 18 gym types will be present in the game as either major or minor league gyms?

given breath of the wild introduced a large sum of mechanics to the legend of zelda franchise, I doubt the developer size is any point of argument especially when you have one of the highest selling franchises. Don't have enough developers, hire more and this isn't forgetting they are creating 100 new pokemon meanwhile have a library of cross referencing for rendering the older ones. Then they obviously cheaped out when it came to attack animations. I get they want to keep releasing pokemon games every year but it's only causing burnout for a lot of people so maybe delaying the game wouldn't be so bad and having 2 years to develop would be a good thing? Especially if they're complaints of not having time, wanting to add in so much, while moving from the 3DS to the switch are legitimate but given how nintendo has been allowing things to fall through the cracks, I'm sure the excuses gamefreak and masuda are making are just that: excuses.
