Net Neutrality Day
When every website loads as slowly as the 4 sec wait for RoosterTeeth pages
By my guess people will always try to control the net. There is a lot of money to be made in it.
Which is why we all have to keep fighting back.
Oh that modem noise.
"We typically pay more for shittier internet compared to other countries".
Hi from Australia...
I was on the internet all day yesterday and didn't notice a thing until news reports today... Talk about anemic
Unfortunately what this really shows is that people have little to no understanding how free markets really work. Ask anyone who lives in a socialist country how the "everyone should get the same" really works. Also if you really believe everyone should get the same why do you have FIRST and Double GOLD? Shouldn't we all get the same service?
Net neutrality might seem like a good idea, but remember what it does is put all internet services under FCC control which means opening it up for over regulation, which means stifling competition and innovation. If you think it's a good idea ask yourself why the people who are so pro net neutrality are the huge companies like Google, Facebook and Pornhub.
For additional information on why net neutrality is a bad idea see this article
You guys hit the subject out of the ball park. Many don't relize that this protects not just personal, but also small business in many areas as they rely on the internet, in some cases 80% of their stores annual income. So if they have to pay for higher prices, which was happening pre 2015 NN, we all suffer from the prices as they go up. this does not effect just one Demographic. also remember Ajit Pai is a former Lawyer for Verizon, just saying.
