So, there's not an Unsubscription bug? Because I discovered today I had been unsubscribed from GenerikB, Zisteau, and Kurtjmac, whom I've been subscribed to for years.
Youtube: "Nope. Nothing wrong here. It's all in your head. Same for the other hundreds of thousands of people. Our exhaustive research of the largest sample size we could manage proves it. We had to look at a full 100 accounts. Do you know how many that is? It's got two whole zeros in it!"
If youtube says its just a super small insignificant number,
then they can hand type an explanation to each person reporting the problem.
Oh wait, its actually millions of people
That kind of reminds me of the first Naked Gun movie "Alright! Move along! There's Nothing to see here!" (as a Firework factor is exploding in the background)
I know that there's been a few times where suddenly I'm getting like all the uploads from the know in emails and push notifications. And then there's this tricky tenuous phrasing between unsubscribing from the e-mails and unsubscribing from the know entirely. And it's like, THE THIRD OR FOURTH TIME NOW THAT THEY'VE JUST TURNED EMAILS BACK ON.
I watched this video then checked my e-mail. No Know notifications. (Ow, my tongue.) Still subscribed and all, just nothing in e-mail.
Great. The issue won't be resolved anytime soon.
What I got from this is that the people working at Youtube never actually use it, and don't pay any attention at all to what people are doing or complaining about on their platform.....
I doubt Youtube will be dying out anytime soon, simply because the transition to another website will be a slow process for most content creators, (and some don't want to try, *cough* RT), and we're currently lacking very many good options for such sites, but more and more it seems like Youtube is trying to kill off it's own userbase, both in content creators and viewers......
Don't worry, guys. All those dislikes were in our heads and the video informed us exactly as planned.
See, I reserve the right to be skeptical when millions of people are reporting this bug from a company that would hire hipsters named Zindzi and Renato
