Time does not exist. To travel back in time, you would have to make every particle in the universe travel in reverse.

From the explanation in the video, it sounded like "my compass is pointing north. Therefore, I can't go south." While time is technically linear (insert Caboose's counter-argument here), and goes forward, you can also calculate a previous value on a linear equation.

I haven't done mathematics in a long time, don't throw rocks at me.

This really matters to me, because I love the theory of time travel.

And I just finished Erased too. Dammit, time travel stories are my favorite.

Eh, I'm still going with my theory on impossible stuff with science, that the impossible is just the possible that has yet to occur. Hell, if I remember the Chuck Yaeger biography I read as a kid, some scientists had thought that the speed of sound couldn't be broken in level flight, which was proven false. There are many other examples like a computer from the early years that took up nearly a whole building having less processing power than one now that can be held in your hands.

Most of these scientists that declare things as impossible aren't going to be alive long enough to see what new advancements come and are only basing their theories on the information available to them at this time, so I take their theories with a grain of salt.

Basically, time travel is impossible because it causes paradoxes, which cannot happen. Nature abhors a paradox.

yeah but i dont care much for time travel, i would much rather goto a different world line where that universe developed later then are universe, creating the illusion of time travel without all that annoying paradox jazz.
