Suck a nut, RIAA.
Yeah, like Taylor Swift of Paul McCartney needs more money. They have the options to take down the video, they can't really complain how much money they get if they take that option.
I love Ashley's shirt... #need
"But that's business, it's never enough."
That sums it up pretty well. I know nobody likes copyright, IP laws and entertainment industry lobbies but they're only protecting their business. They are certainly not blameless in the way they operate, but that doesn't grant you the right to rip off music and upload it on YouTube for a profit either.
So hey, at least that's 1 billion they won't sue YouTube, or you, for. Yay?
So at one point people bought CD's for 5-20$(At least here in Norway) Then a shit ton went over to pirating. Which made everyone loose a shit ton of money. Out of those 5-20 you could listen to the songs a 100 times each or more. And the value would be next to nothing per play.
But now when they get money for every single view/play of the songs. They complain. On top of that, the pirating of songs has fallen immensely because its so easy to play/listen to songs/videos.
It's above stupid.
I can understand the want to be compensated for your work and for your art, I also understand that a lot of people steal music and or use it with out permission, But, when you make $170 MILLION (Taylor Swift) I don't feel sorry for you that you maybe lost $4 million. So go cry in your golden hot tub if you want and stop being such a self entitled, whining, spoiled rotten brat about it.
