Apple customers can still switch to Android with the Galaxy S7. That's what's great about companies making multiple phones.

From the the CPSC statment "CPSC and Samsung are working cooperatively to formally announce an official recall of the devices, as soon as possible."

This is why Samsung just went ahead and started recalling the phones, because they wanted them off the market now and CPSC isn't providing any aditional visbility for the recall.
