Oculus CEO Steps Down... Is Gaming VR OVER?

I really hope that this is the beginning of the end of VR being a thing. It's so annoying and it's nothing but a gimmick anyway.

Thought HTCVive might over take profits for VR but looks like they're all in the gutter. It's probably going to take another two years for content creators and hardware creators to have something cheap enough for a mass consumer base. 

Unless VR becomes as essential as a phone to the consumer their sales will constantly hover below 500k per year. Thankfully Oculus has a rich daddy facebook to burn money through until they succeed. 

And here I was hoping they meant Palmer Luckey, the racist bastard.

Yes VR Game Development is very expensive.  

VR needs that game that everyone wants to get.  Like Halo for the Xbox.

I just see vr as something to do for maybe 30 mins and than getting bored with it and moving on to another game, I talk to a few friends that have it and they don't seem to touch it that much anymore.
