I don't trust these girls. I think they might be lying to me.
Eh, it's mobile. I understand, and many apps won't let you raise the quality on videos when you're not on wifi. Slippery slope and all i get it, just doesn't seem that bad
How many people actually watch netflix on their phones? That honestly sounds like the shittiest way to watch a video
not just phones, phablets and tablets as well. Handy when on road trips or just to pass the time while out.
Does chromecast from a phone/tablet count?
This isn't violating net neutrality, just like a private employer firing you for being racist isn't violating your first amendment rights. Net neutrality doesn't say that service providers have to provide as much bandwidth as possible, it means that ISPs shouldn't be throttling bandwidth of other services.
In all seriousness, you can hit your bandwidth easy on 4G data. [Cough Cough RT Podcast]. Although I've only watched Netflix on my phone when I was too lazy to get up from bed, but it did look good.
Only on mobile, don't care.
Couldn't care less about that. I just want to watch all the shows on the service I'm paying for. Australia has such a limited collection of tv shows and movies.
I love how fancy they make John Legere's last name sound. It is really not as exciting (Ledg-er) but it is really amazing to watch him speak in person. But as far as watching videos on my phone I am more interested with what it being said than the quality of it. While not ideal if I want to watch something and pay attention to it visually I will just mark it and watch it later on my computer.
Fight Fight Fight! Kiss Kiss Kiss!
I know I can and have set a warning and a cap on my phone for how much data I use, so I cannot go over.
I mean, as long as this doesn't cause me to buffer Netflix I am fully fine with this type of throttling. Because it's throttling meant to help me, not meant to hamper my enjoyment of the product. I don't watch Netflix on my phone for the very reason that they say they are throttling me. Because it takes up too much data.
