But seriously... people care far too much about other peoples' opinions of games (etc.); especially people who aren't even that good at playing those games (mentioning no names!) - learn what sort of thing you like and go with that, and if it isn't realistic graphics then check out the back catalogue of old games... the ones still being sold/played are likely to be the best of the genre or else they would have been dropped by now so it gets even easier! :)

i honestly dont remember the last time i was on metacritic to see what a game scored.

Personally I don't go to metacritic.
I see what you have to say about a game and look up gameplay of the game and see if I would like it. It is usually the AH guys.
