This is why I signed up for RT First.
If my other content is lost because of the fall of youtube, or split between multiple platforms (Which would be inconvenient), I still have here to reliably get Grade A content.
Well Grade A content and On the Spot
Not to mention there are fewer assholes on here.
Youtube lets YOU decide if the content you are shown doesnt have BadStuff.
But what is BadStuff content that you can opt out of?
Well, if Starbucks and ColoradoBakery dont want to see any guns or gays in their shops free wifi, youtube flags that stuff as Offended Somebody Somewhere Sometime. The flagged stuff is still available to all, except viewers that opted out of getting BadStuff... such as Starbuck and ColoradoBakery enabling Restricted on their proxys
Some folks dont want to see the 2nd amendment in action.
Some folks dont want to see muslims in action.
Some folks dont want to see vlogs campaigning for abortion.
Some folks dont want to see vlogs campaigning against abortion.
Good news, if anybody anywhere ever got offended by a vid, the vid gets put on the list, and you can say you dont want to see stuff on the list.
If you want to continue to see guns and gays, turn off your restrictions.... if you are not freeloading on someone elses internet then you have that control.... beggars cant be choosers
The 2nd amendment doesn't even apply here. It only applies to government action. Also, even if it did, it doesn't apply outside the US. Google owns the platform, they can do whatever they want with it.
You know the 2nd amendment is about guns, right?
dark and shade you two are fucking stupid if that's all you got from his comment
Dark- "Google owns the platform, they can do whatever they want with it."
Like Restricted flagging LGBTQXYZ stuff that somebody was offended by
and letting viewers decide for themselves if they want to see Restricted vids.
Google aint the gov, so Google can let folks sensor themselves, and LGBT should respect Googles right to let others censor them
... right?
Thats what you meant, isnt it?
Your rights end on someone elses private property... Starbucks and blue voters have no problem with ending your 2nd amd rights at their property line for years, now its Google not enforcing LGBT rights on their property
I question the advertisers' logic here. They are pulling their ads from youtube because they're ads are showing up beside "offensive" videos. But isn't it YOUTUBE they're sponsoring? NOT the specific video their ads are shown before? And Youtube doesn't control what their users upload. The advertisers should have known this going in.
mixed views here, we need the advertisers, but we have free speech so now, how is it all going to balance out?
... did Gus get a hair cut?
