A lot of thoughts here.
The only advantage Battleborn has over Overwatch is its campaign, which is impossible in single-player unless you really enjoy respawning. so being free but with hard copies selling for $10? Not bad.
I know The Hunchback of Notre Dame is a classic story and all, but don't most people associate it with Disney? I know there's tons of live-action Beauty and the Beasts, but none of those were major studios, at least in the US. Basically instead of making their own cinematic universe, Universal is just taking classic stories and mashing them together.
Can't we just get Firefly season 2 instead of a Cowboy Bebop remake with its soul ripped out? Or, crazy idea, Cowboy Bebop season 2 or a spinoff so we don't need to say whether Spike lived or died. They could easily fit several more seasons within the canon of the show like they did with the movie.
HUH did not see the whole dark universe coming Starting with the mummy movies. Interesting i suppose although idk why they are doing it all marvel cinematic style making everything interconnected. But if they pull it off awesome. Im kinda excited about cowboy bebop. i just hope its good. Also at this point i would rather never get a sequel to Half life over getting a spiritual sequel. it just seems like a bad idea. spiritual sequels dont seem to be doing very well right now and at this point ive already accepted the fact we may never get a sequel to the series. I think its time to just let this series go.
I'm willing to give this live action Cowboy Bebop thing a go, because it's in a format that won't crunch it for time. I am concerned that it will go on too long tho. I can see 3 seasons of 12 episodes (or so), but even that's pushing it. I would prefer 2 and have it do a similar arc to the original. If they decide to do original (new) material and completely forgo all the story that was laid out in the anime, I can sort of understand, but I'm not sure I'd want to see it. I don't think it'd be Cowboy Bebop at that point.
At the very least, they could give the characters other than Spike more than one episode to themselves. If they make Ein as goofy as in the anime, they could easily do some comedic episodes from his point of view. Faye's past could be a whole 6-episode arc. Jet could have more than one episode that was really more about his friend's daughter. Ed could get caught up in digital hijinks more often. Hell, while we're at it, expand the Spike/Viscious plot.
Exactly. I can see them doing a lot with the what exists, but if they decide to push it past the original story and turn it into a long running show (with no end in sight), it'll ruin what it was and basically take advantage of the branding that goes along with the name. Hopefully they end it in a reasonable time and won't change too much of the overall plot. Outside of that, I would like to see all the hijinx they can fit into the show. Plus it'd be cool to see more of them before they all meet up. That could even be the entire first season. Given that shows are generally ~43 mins long, that would be a long first season tho.
