Yes, i'm against the tax. Hopefully it doesn't end up in the north too.
One thing I was wondering is would my FIrst Membership be included for the tax? Like Amazon Prime, netflix, hulu etc.
there is already an 'online tax' in Australia, netflix and other streaming service prices were raised at the start of this month to accommodate the tax, that and internet prices are already a joke here, we pay up to $120 for internet that is less than HALF the speed of the USA so yeah.. not only are we WAY behind in online services but we pay an arm and a leg for these services..
It doesn't make sense that any pre-order can sell out. Since the early 2000's pre-orders have been primarily used to forecast the number of units that need to be manufactured and distributed to retailers. Pre-orders literally tell them exactly how many units to make to meet demand. For anyone to say that a pre-order for anything is sold out is downright deceitful. They either don't know what they're doing, but I think we all know that's not the case with Microsoft, or they're creating artificial scarcity. Given the fact that Microsoft has been seriously lagging behind Playstation the entire life cycle of the current gen consoles they really need this product to be a winner. The price point has also been a topic of debate, but since they have lost to Playstation so bad this round I don't think they can afford to sell it for anything less. I'm not trying to sound like a tin foil hat wearing conspiracy theorist over here but false demand solves both of those issues for Microsoft. People are going to buy whatever units are available for little Timmy this Christmas and they'll do it at whatever price point Microsoft slaps on the damn thing. #Marketing
But that's just my opinion.
