but seriously, why are ya'lls digital content for offline/single-player games apparently dependent on a proper online connection? I mean, I know why businesses would WANT that (ie, more control), but they shouldn't be, and this situation is a clear example of why.

I'm kind of happy there won't be a Witcher 4. 3 was a great game, but they pretty much ended Geralt's story and it's refreshing to see them let his story end in a satisfying way rather then making a game that kind of destroys the point of his characters story, like what they're kind of doing with Kratos.

I feel bad for people who download digital, but all this does is cement my belief in physical copies.
