Canadian here. We can't rely on the moose... the Internet roams through our wilderness and we have to tackle it, capture it.
I tried going without technology after watching Connected. It was impossible. I couldn't keep up with school and couldn't even do my job and no one else knew how to communicate with me. Yeah, thr world revolves around the internet now.
I'm excited to here that news about internet in Canada.
Bell is able to Gigabit in certain areas. Sadly not in my area though.
I'm pretty sure she said we're beyond the wall... please build it Americans are crazy.
Now if only the US government would get on the same boat regarding internet. In major cities fairly high speeds are available, but around where I live, even in towns the best you can get at all is 15-20mbs download speeds with data caps. Out in the more rural areas like where I'm particularly located, my only options for internet are satellite internet at 10-15mbs, (what I'm currently using, 15mbs up and 5mbs down, with a 10gb monthly limit), and all the problems that go with it, or a single telephone company based internet option that only has speeds at about the 5mbs range. I'm hopefully going to be moving in a few months, and I'd be lying if I said that getting proper internet wasn't the primary reason. It's ridiculous how everything in our society requires internet access, from job applications to government forms, and yet large portions of the country barely have access and have to pay fairly high costs for even that much.....
