What, did everyone expect 3 different textures for every character based on what ending you chose? Did people think a spinoff in another galaxy after an interstellar apocalypse would matter? The whole point of moving to another galaxy was so that the stories would have no bearing on one another. It's been that way since its (first) reveal.
I can just see the internet revolting now about the fact this, "horrible ending," or whatever you want to call it is going to be rendered completely meaningless in the new game. Personally I'm just happy to get more Mass Effect regardless of how or even if it ties-in at all besides the fact it's a shared universe but that specific general reaction after the backlash following ME3 would be hilariously hypocritical if it happens to go down that way.
aww Ashley at the end :(
I get that it's a little frustrating but I'm so sick of hearing about how Mass Effect is in trouble. Just because they aren't showing much doesn't mean that development is failing. In fact, the lack of information is mostly a good thing. They've clearly learnt from overhyping, rushing development and making promises that fall flat. That's a large reason why Mass Effect 3 suffered. EA's conference was...well...shit, but it made sense that they wanted to promote the games releasing around the October/November peroid. It's been confirmed by the devs that they'll be showing off a "TON" of stuff on N7 Day. And technically speaking, they revealed a lot about the game in interviews last week. There's a big thread on the Mass Effect subreddit with all the info.
As for the ending, it's really a no win scenario. If they tried to deal with the endings, people would complain that they're just making it worse. If they don't deal with them, people will complain that their choices don't matter. In my opinion, ME1-3 was it's own story arc and your decisions matter within that arc. The more variables that you have to add into your game just bogs it down and overcomplicates it when it's really not necessary. A fresh start is exactly what Mass Effect needs.
The thought process behind the Mass Effect in trouble idea is it was announced E3 2014, here we are 2 years later and all we got was a 2 minute trailer that used a lot of stock footage and a lot footage of developers working. Supposedly Andromeda is coming out March 2017 but when trailers like this are made it usually means the game has a long way to go before release.
I first discovered Yelchin in the movie, Charlie Bartlett, and thought he did a really good job. I thought it was awesome that he got the role in Star Trek since it was prefect for him
I believe that I read somewhere that the Mass Effect 3 endings only affected the Milky Way galaxy. Assuming that the Tempest was somewhere between galaxies or already in the Andromeda galaxy by the time Mass Effect 3 ends, nothing would have happened to the crew.
Also, I really liked Chekov in the newest series; the scenes in which he has to speak his authorization code, but can't easily do so thanks to his accent, always make me laugh.
before it was even mass effect andromeda bioware said themselves the next game would NOT be a sequel but another game all together so your surprised? some times i just cant take the know seriously at all i mean really this would have been news if you reported it about 2 years ago but as it is my response is "well duuuuh
... that's no moon
He was a fantastic actor with a lot of range. Fright Night was especially good. This could have easily been avoided.
As far as Mighty no.9 goes.. good. I hate to see hard work and dedication go bad but they managed the game terribly and that community mod job was a favor to a friend. She had no qualifications for the job and treated fans like shit. I got banned from their forums for just making an off-hand comment that is word for word this: he looks like a character from Psychonauts
Really needs to be a channel icon on every video thumbnail so I know if I really want to watch this or not. Had finger's crossed it might be Screwattack, but had to stop after I saw the Know logo.
Even though we've seen very little of Mass Effect, showing It at least exists, I still think of this game as a mere myth at this point though.
I'm really, really happy about the Mass Effect thing. I hate it when games put emphasis on choice then just negate it all in a sequel. For example Dishonored is one of my favourite games ever, but I'm ambivalent about the sequel because the ending of the first game could vary a lot. I wish they'd made it with new characters, I mean it's already taking place in another corner of the Empire. Anyways I love Mass Effect and enjoyed the (post extended cut) ending, so Bioware remains firmly in my good books.
