Right on Ashley no flobbs :)
I mean -- if robots took all the boring and mundane jobs, then humanity can focus on more important things like space, art, and other things people get passionate about. Right?
if only everyone got passionate about something
sure, but how would you make money from art? I know it happens, but you need to hit big to live off of it. If the amount of artists suddenly skyrockets it's gonna become even harder. Besides, not everyone is cut out for that. 6% of the working force is a lot of people to employ too
Well, art isn't the only thing to be passionate about. There's other things like the sciences. More people could become doctors, engineers, robot builders, astronomers, astrophysicists, historians, pilots, and biologists. Most of those things robots just wouldn't be able to do until artificial intelligence is an actual thing (which it probably will never truly be). I'm just saying that if robots "took over" it'd force the workforce to do something that could actually change the world instead of wasting away doing trivial and mundane tasks that amount to nothing.
i like the reference to Burnie being called by the car insurance company.
Can there be laws limiting/outlawing robot workers now? It seems like that's something that we should get a head start on, unless people want to live in Judge Dredd-like conditions where every job is taken by robots.
