I mean... At least he didn't buy actual literal steam, since he vapes
Keep an eye on your finances. That goes for everyone. Use an app or do it manually like me.
I think the painting thing is indeed a forgery. Also am I the only one who finds it ironic that pig hearts may someday be viable for transplants into humans?
Would it be though? I don't think it can be claimed to be a forgery unless you are claiming the person painted it. All the computer did was make it's own piece with the same style.
Good point. I was thinking more that it would be harder to prove without checking the actual age of the paint and that would make people more likely. If they're saying it's only in the style it's not a forgery, but it'd be so much easier.
So now digital technology has essentially devalued pretty much all forms of art and entertainment (video games, movies, tv shows, music, etc), why not add classic works of art to the list?
I don't think it's devalued. The "painting" that the computer made was based on someones work. So, that painting couldn't have existed without that someone. I don't think we'll see a computer creating completely original pieces any time soon.
Plus, I don't think you'll really ever be able to devalue classic works of art. The paintings aren't so valuable because they're good, as there are plenty of people who can replicate art and stuff. It's valuable because of who made it.
Also, it's super fucking cool.
Maybe I wasn't as clear as I could have been when I said devalued. Here's an analogy: Modern music is disposable, largely because it's made by computers and not humans, and I don't mean electronic drums and synthesizers, I mean 95% of pop and rock is created on computers using algorithms that tell what progression to use, what hook, when to change key, etc. much in the same way this program does to create 'in the style of' art. I believe that this completely devalues the art itself because now literally anyone can print it out. No talent or training required. Call me old school but I like my music made by musicians and art by artists and I like to see both compensated for their creativity and effort.
Vaping on the floor of the house? Maaaaan that's one of the douchiest instances of vaping I've seen yet, and that's saying something.
