I was about to ask the same thing! It's totally Lawyerbot.

It's NOT technologically feasible at this point. There is no full dive system even planned, and there's no way you can actually control your character with sleep-like restrained physical movements that are still mentally transferred, nor any way you will feel the feedback of any activity.

This is what most of us, and all intelligent people, call bullshit marketing and clickbait advertising. So glad The Know reported on it without disclosing what utter horse shit the very notion is at our technological level. First time i ever watched this show, and never going to watch it again.

Unfortunately, they aren't actually making it at all. Not even as far as modern technology can handle.

It's actually just a tiny marketing stunt that will have a 20 minute demo for a few people at a time.

Sure, they can't do full dive right now...but they still could have made the game fairly close to what was shown and just used standard VR and a controller.

I'd like to point out to everyone I said it's becoming feasible. Key word: Becoming (N., the process of coming to be something or of passing into a state.)

And it is. With the advent of VR, we're getting ever closer. Please don't assume that I am naive enough to believe they're actually recreating the full game. I never said that, yet it seems people have somehow gotten it into their head.
