my mind got fucked by the new "This episode was aired on" intro
As a non-player (subject to change) Soldier 76 is Dad 76, Mercy is Healing Momma, Reinhardt is Grampy Rein, D.Va is Gremlin Baby, Pharrah is the Auntie Pharriah, Ana is Grammy Buff, Reaper is the edgy teenager, and McCree is the the bad influence Uncle. Of course, only Ana and Pharrah are confirmed related but the way they act as a meme is absolutely hilarious and I've gotten used to that idea.
Who does the thumbnails for the patch? They're always amazing.
Btw if anyone is interested in the serious topics based on new technology (like augmented reality) watch Black Mirror. It makes you wonder if this new technology will be beneficial or not and really question advancements in technology.
It's probably because it's a popular topic right now, but for some reason it feels like I've heard this exact same Pokemon GO conversation three other times on other podcasts from RT.
It's quite telling how these guys actually know more about video games than the actual regular Patch cast.
The art for each patch video is really good and creative.
Cool to see new people on the patch. I like the usual people, but sometimes Ryan or whoever doesn't really have much productive to add to a conversation.
Gotta admit this was a pretty solid episode. I think they will be fine without Meg on here but Ryan is the best on this podcast it was missing him.
Why do I only find Hypno at 3am at playgrounds? I was running some insomnia errands last night, and I noticed around 25 Hypnos. Around 5 Hypnos were popping up at every elementary school and park. PS who's popping lures at 3am in a park near no housing or retail? I was almost ready to call the cops, but decided that the P.S.A.s about midnight dangers should have adequatly warned Pokémon Go Players.
In terms of the midnight lures, I think you kinda answered your own question. Muggers or night owls (people who stay up obscenely late).
In terms of Hypno, it actually makes sense that the Drowzee evolutionary tree would be active mostly at night, as they consume human dreams, particularly those of sleeping children. Don't make eye contact and don't watch the pendulum - that's how Hypno puts you to sleep. Have fun!
Love seeing Gray Haddock on The Patch, I think he always brings something great to podcasts.
I loved these guys.
