It's so much worse if Pokemon don't experience time within Pokeballs because then their entire life is a constant fight. Like Master Chief fighting for what is to him 2 years straight, except Pokemon aren't doing it willingly. Take them from their life in the wild, make them fight for your profit while you sit there completely safe, then freeze them in time so they're constantly fighting for you for no reward just because you yanked them from their life. That's terrifying.

So you have a pokemon that is basically a possessed pokedex now? So what when you send the pokedex pkmn to fight does he tell you This is a ghost type charizard...when I'm finished with him. Meh Ryan's not wrong. You do essentially beat the crap out of a Pokemon, catch it, train it to battle for badges and if you get a better pokemon you stuff it into a computer to make room for the new one. And then there are HM slaves...still fun though.

the prices for classic pokemon games from previous consoles skyrocketed thanks to pokemon go, the hype was there and has come and gone. Pokemon Sun and Moon is going to drive new players to get it but only a few.

Every time I see someone's attempt at making Pokemon some kind of darkedge scenario, I remember that in Sinnoh, they explicitly said that Pokemon approach trainers specifically to battle. And before people say "oh it's cause they are feral beasts who live for violence," it's also implied multiple times that Pokemon battle and compete for their own prestige. It's a symbiotic relationship. A good trainer makes a living raising powerful Pokemon while Pokemon get access to stronger opponents and experiences it would never have in its native habitat

Not to mention, if the anime is to be taken seriously, the pokedex in the anime did say that wild Pokemon attack trainers because they are jealous of the relationship that trainers and their Pokemon have
